Settlers
This project was my way of encapsulating strong young women, from multicultural backgrounds, who are the first generation from their families to grow up in Ireland. They are in a way the first settlers to make home here. The exhibition began with my daughter who is of Polish origin. Her friends are from other countries, other cultures. My series of portraits endeavour to represent the beauty of multicultural Irish society.
